How the Study Was Conducted.
44,773 Encounters. Two Emergency Departments.
Cleo analyzed clinician wRVU performance across two ED sites. The study compared months when clinicians used Cleo in at least 50% of encounters with months of lower utilization, examining how usage was associated with revenue capture.
Overall Usage and Critical Care Alerting.
The analysis also examined Critical Care Alerting separately, comparing wRVUs per encounter before and after activation. The findings describe observed associations.

Higher Utilization Was Associated with Higher wRVUs.
During months when clinicians used Cleo in at least 50% of encounters, they generated 5.23 wRVUs per visit, compared with 4.98 during lower-utilization months.
Reported wRVU Uplift
The study reports an increase of 0.24 wRVUs per encounter.
Additional Annual wRVUs
Projected across approximately 80,000 annual visits.
Projected Annual Revenue
Estimated incremental revenue across the two sites.
More Complete Critical Care Capture.
The study separately evaluated Critical Care Alerting. Reported wRVUs per encounter rose after activation.
The reported $414K annual critical-care projection is included in the overall $621K projection.
